How TwoHop selects a route
TwoHop routes traffic according to its destination. Auto mode selects an available server pair; you can also choose an exit country yourself.
Which paths are used?
- Direct: websites in the exclusions list, including services selected by the user.
- Through a Russian server: resources that need a Russian route.
- Through two servers: foreign resources travel through a Russian entry and a foreign exit.
Auto mode and country choice
Auto checks connection availability and keeps a working route. If you manually choose Germany, the Netherlands, the USA or Czechia, the app attempts to use that exit country. A temporary path failure may cause reconnection; changing the external IP may interrupt an ongoing call.
When is CDN used?
CDN is a backup when direct access is unavailable, for example on some mobile networks. It is a transport to the entry point, not a separate exit country. A working direct path does not need to switch to CDN without a reason.
How can I diagnose a problem?
Check the selected region and external IP after connecting. If a site or call stops working, note the time, network type (Wi-Fi or mobile) and selected country, then send the details to support. Read the technical description for more detail.
